Traffic will increase from 6 million to 8 million

In cooperation with the government, the joint venture, formerly China Eastern's Yunnan Branch, will gain advantages in policy support, airport cooperation, project construction, and the ability to resist risks. The joint venture will be a regional hub and a network-based airline company.In late May, China Eastern's Yunnan Branch took delivery of a new Boeing 737-700 and the company's fleet now has 37 aircraft. By 2010, the company will have 50 aircraft, the annual passenger China Pictures traffic will increase from 6 China Pictures million to 8 million, and interline and transit flights will be increased by 500.

The hotel was formerly the Sofitel Plaza Xiamen and plans for the extensive refurbishment of the hotel include landscaping the lobby and upgrades to in-room audio-visual equipment such as new flat screen televisions, dual language controls and i-Pod docking stations. For business travelers the room enhancements include improved lighting, ergonomically-designed desks and chairs, as well as a laptop safe. The hotel fitness center will be outfitted with new equipment and enhanced with new audio-visual equipment and other amenities.

Guests will now be able to make their reservations via Pan Pacific's proprietary reservations and distribution platform, PANTHER. The reservations platform will allow guests to China Pictures book via GDS, online channels, as well as Pan Pacific's toll-free voice reservation centers globally. Guests will also have their guest preference information captured in PANTHER.
